Cambridge Exams Results!

AAAAAHHHH OHMYGARDEN YOU GUYS I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T BLOG ABOUT THIS BEFORE. But guess what..... *drum roll*

I PASSED MY CAMBRIDGE ADVANCED ENGLISH EXAMS!

I am so happy!
On July 25th, about 8 weeks after the exam, we could see if we passed our exams. I was SO nervous, especially because I already failed this year at school. I was shaking and didn't want to know whether I passed or not.
But eventually I found the courage to look aaaaand I passed! At grade B! I was super close to grade A! So that's a bit of a bummer (because then I would get an even higher certificate) but you won't hear me complain! I am so happy.

Just wanted to share that with you ^^

The perfect spring/summer song

The weather today was amazing in The Netherlands! Wow! Haven't seen that in a while.. But it was about 20 degrees Celsius and the sun was shining and it was just lovely and exactly what I needed at the moment. When I woke up around 7AM and opened my window I heard the birds whistling and the sun shone in my eyes and it was just perfect. And there is this song, which resembles that feeling so good, it is Plage by Crystal Fighters.

I listened to it all morning non-stop! (School did not start until 12 'o clock ^^)

Uh-uh, I know, the song is pretty old. But I love iiiit! Last summer when we went to Rome with the fam, I listened to the song on our way to Rome, and it just brings back a lot of great memories whenever I listen to the song. Summer, lovely weather, great time with family, relaxing, not worrying about a thing... kinda hard to explain.

But anyways, I just want to share the song with you guys, if you haven't heard it before.
ENJOY!

New Layout... again

As you may have noticed, I changed my layout again. What do you think? You like? (:
It is very basic and the only colours I used are black, white and purple. I am not a very consistent person when it comes to layouts. At first I will really like them, but eventually they get bored to me. Hopefully this one will be around for a while (:

Quokka

As usually I spend way too much of my time on the internet yesterday. And then I stumbled upon this:  a quokka. This small little creature is only to be found in western Australia. This is what Wikipedia says about it:
The quokka /ˈkwɒkə/ (Setonix brachyurus), the only member of the genus Setonix, is a small macropod about the size of a domestic cat. Like other marsupials in the macropod family (such as the kangaroos and wallabies), the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal. It can be found on some smaller islands off the coast of Western Australia, in particular on Rottnest Island just off Perth and Bald Island near Albany. A small mainland colony exists in the protected area of Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve, where they co-exist with Gilbert's potoroo.

HOW CUTE IS THIS CREATURE?! This is probably the happiest thing on the planet. It just looks so happy. How cute! I can't stop looking at it. From now on, whenever I'm sad, I'll just look at these pictures and be instantly happy again. (:

Lovely Spring/Summer Fabrics

Good day folks! Today another sort of DIY blog post. Or actually, more of a sewing post? I dont' know exactly what to call it. Let me just begin at the start. I like to sew my own clothes. I am still in the learning process and I still need some help here and there, but I am okay (:
I started making clothes for the first time about two years ago, when I was 13. It's not like I make all of my clothes myself. Not at all! Just sometimes (usually during vacations) make clothes. My latest project were some really lazy and baggy trousers. I made those the past Holidays. And last wednesday, there was a conference where there are a ton of stands where you can buy fabric, patterns, needles, and everying else you could ever need for crafting. I went there with my mom and grandma (who also love to sew and to diy. I obviously got it from them) and I went looking for some fabrics. I wanted to find 2 very colorful pieces of fabric to make a skirt and to make another one of those lazy and baggy trousers (but this time I wanted summer-y colors).

On the picture on top of the page you can see the pieces of fabric I bought. I know it's not that clear to see, but there are 2 pieces of fabric, not one haha, although they look alike. The one on the left, I want to use for the other pair of trousers. The one on the right I want to use to make a bright and happy floral skirt. So far, I have made just 4 pieces of clothing: a pair of trousers, a pair of jeans, a blouse and of course the baggy trousers I mentioned before. And since almost all of them (except the blouse) are more winter/autumn clothing, I wanted to make something cheerful. Well, if you ask me, these pieces of fabric are perfect! Don't you think?

The teeny tiny picture on the right is a model of what the skirt is going to look like. Very wavy and summer-y. I love the pattern and it is not that hard to make. Whenever I have the time (hopefully very soon) I am going to start with the trousers, since I can wear those earlier than this thin skirt haha.
Spring, here I come!
